A few days back, the makers of Dhanush and Sekhar Kammula’s film had revealed that the project has been titled Kubera. While the first look and title received good reception, the makers dropped a new update about the film. A new schedule of the shooting began in Bangkok with talkie and action portions being shot.
The makers had released the first look for the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, featuring Dhanush in an unkempt avatar. Apart from Dhanush, the film also stars Nagarjuna, Jim Sarbh, Rashmika Mandanna in prominent roles.
Makers of Kubera release new update
Kubera is mounted on a huge scale and is backed by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banners Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd. While the film is currently in production, the makers updated about the status and revealed that a new shooting schedule has begun in Bangkok. Actor Nagarjuna is also part of the schedule in which talkie and action parts are being canned.
The makers have released a couple of working stills. While one picture shows Sekhar Kammula discussing a scene with Nagarjuna, the other picture shows the stunt team making arrangements for an action block.

Kubera will feature Rashmika Mandanna who was last seen in Animal, as the female lead. With Devi Sri Prasad scoring the music, Niketh Bommi is the cinematographer. Ramakrishna Sabbani and Monika Nigotre are the production designers. Hindi actor Jim Sarbh will be making his south debut with Kubera. However, his role is kept under wraps.
As per reports, Kubera will feature Dhanush in two roles, a homeless man and a millionaire, with Nagarjuna essaying the role of a Mumbai don and antagonist. Kubera is Tamil -Telugu bilingual and is expected to have a multi-lingual release. However, the makers are yet to announce the release date of the film. Expected to be an action drama, the film will mark Dhanush’s first collaboration with Telugu director Sekhar Kammula.
