After giving hits with Good Night and Lover, actor Manikandan has scored a hat-trick with the success of his 2025 Tamil film Kudumbasthan. The film, which released in January this year, opened to positive reviews and received good reception in theatres. Now, following its big screen run, Kudumbasthan is all set to make its OTT debut. It will premiere on ZEE5 on March 7. You can watch the Tamil film in Hindi and Telugu as well, with your OTTplay Premium subscription.

Kudumbasthan OTT release: Stream Manikandan’s hit family drama in Telugu and Hindi

We had earlier reported that ZEE5 has bagged the streaming rights of Tamil film Kudumbasthan, starring Manikandan in the lead role. The film is all set to stream on the platform from March 7 onwards. The Tamil film will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam as well apart from its original version. You can watch the film with an OTTplay Premium subscription.

Kudumbasthan is helmed by debutant filmmaker Rajeshwar Kalisamy. He wrote the script of the film along with the screenplay with actor Prasanna Balachandran. The latter has played a prominent part in Kudumbasthan.

The film opened to positive reception upon its release, with many hailing Manikandan’s performance and the film’s witty dialogues that evoke laughter. It went on to become the fourth highest-grossing film in Tamil this year so far.

The cast of Kudumbasthan is led by Manikandan who is supported by Saannve Megghana, Guru Somasundaram, director R Sundarajan, Prasanna Balachandran, Kanakamma of Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey fame, Jenson Diwakar and others. The film revolves around a middle-class family in Coimbatore, where the sole bread-winner is the son. However, an argument one day at this workplace leads to him getting fired. The rest of the film is about how he manages his family’s needs without letting them know of his situation.

It is produced by S. Vinoth Kumar under Cinemakaaran. The technical crew consists of music scored by Vaisagh, with cinematography handled by Sujith N. Subramaniam. Kannan Balu is the editor.
