Kunal Kemmu, who was a known actor, made his directorial debut and became a known director in the industry with the surprise hit, Go Goa Gone. A film on zombies, Go Goa Gone (2013) featured Saif Ali Khan as the zombie hunter. There's a lot of buzz on the movie's sequel, and Kunal, who last helmed Madgaon Express, has shared an update on the same. Here's what he said...
Kunal Kemmu confirms that he would love to direct Go Goa Gone 2. He told ANI that he had a lot of fun working with Saif and would like to do it again. "I’d love to work with him again, and honestly, if they ask me to direct a sequel, I would love to make it," he confirmed.
The actor pointed out that directing a sequel can be especially challenging, mainly because viewers come to watch a sequel with a set of expectations. As for the original movies, nobody has particular expectations in mind, which could help the original movies but that is not the case with sequels and that can get challenging.
There's still no confirmation whether Go Goa Gone sequel will actually take off and if yes, then when will it be in the works. But from what Kunal confessed, there is a high chance that the sequel could commence sometime soon. For now, Saif is focused on the release of his Netflix film, Jewel Thief.
Last seen in Devara part 1, Saif is prepping for the release of Jewel Thief. He is also a part of Race 4, Dining With The Kapoors, Shootout at Byculla and of course, Devara 2. Go Goa Gone 2 might go on floors sometime this year if things go as per schedule. Saif might also commence Devara 2 and his movie with his daughter Sara Ali Khan soon if all goes well. He might also take some time off to rest because of the stabbing incident, but there’s no confirmation of anything so far.
