The film, which stars Indrans and Jaffar Idukki in lead roles, hit the big screen last year. It did not make an impressive run in theatres but was praised for its unique theme. It has now been confirmed that the digital rights of the movie have been bagged by Manorama Max. It will be available on the platform from 12 am on July 4. Recently, Pattth, Karnika, and Am Ah began streaming on the same portal. Azadi, Sreenath Bhasi's most recent Malayalam film, is currently accessible on Manorama Max as well. The Tamil version of Azadi is streaming on Sun NXT.

According to reports, the Rasheed Parakkal-directed movie is based on a theme of Japanese spirituality. Kuttante Shinigami strikes the ideal balance between fantasy, comedy, and science. The protagonist of the film is a person who has trained in Japan and earned a PhD in the science of Shinigami. According to sources, Shinigami are deities that represent death in many aspects of Japanese religious beliefs. In other words, Kuttan, a Thingalur based farmer, is the protagonist of this fantasy drama. Indrans plays the Shinigami, while Jaffar Idukki plays a spirit named Kuttan.
The supporting cast of this fantasy film includes Sunil Sukhada, Anish G, Sumesh Moor, Shaju, Ashraf, Munshi Ranjith, Unni Raja, Chandana, Sinoj Varghese, Akhila, and Arya Viju. The director has penned the screenplay for the film. Asharaf Pilakkal has bankrolled Kuttante Shinigami. Arjun V Akshaya has composed the soundtracks for the movie, which had a theatrical release in September 2024. Shihab Ongallur is the cienmatographer and Zian Sreekanth has helmed the edit work of the movie.
