Nitanshi Goel made her Bollywood debut with Kiran Rao's Laapataa Ladies in 2024. The actress played the role of Phool Kumari in the critically acclaimed movie. Following the film's release, Nitanshi was widely appreciated for her performance in the movie. In a recent interview, the actress reflected on her life after Laapataa Ladies. She also spoke about being compared to Shraddha Kapoor.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Nitanshi Goel shared that fans often compare her to Shraddha Kapoor in her early years. Goel considers it as a compliment. "Whenever I see someone writing in my comments that I look like Shraddha Kapoor in her early years, mera din ban jata hai (my day is made)," she said.
The actress believes Shraddh has an 'effortless charm' and she is always loved for her 'warmth' and 'relatability'. "So, if people see even a little bit of her in me, it's a huge compliment. I had seen a dance video where she was dancing to Sun Saathiya (from ABCD 2), and that used to play in my house every day 24x7," added Nitanshi.
The actress further recalled copying Shraddha's dance steps and kept practicing them. She admitted that she is 'obsessed' with Kapoor and will always be her 'biggest fan'.
She went on to talk about how her life changed after Laapataa Ladies' theatrical release. The actress opened up about 1 year of her movie and said, "It’s been a year, but it still feels that it was just yesterday that we were doing promotions, and someone recognised me as Phool on the streets."
After Laapataa Ladies, Nitanshi featured in Ajay Devgn's film Maidaan. Directed by Amit Sharma, the sports drama had a theatrical release on April 10, 2024. She essayed the role of Ajay's daughter in the movie. Produced by Zee Studios, Bayview Projects, and Fresh Lime Films, the movie failed to work well at the box office.
