Abhay Verma and Rasha Thadani are teaming up for their first film together, Laikey Laikaa. The movie was officially confirmed on June 11, 2025, with a lighthearted video of the stars. On January 13, 2026, the makers unveiled the first poster of Laikey Laikaa and confirmed a Summer 2026 release.

The makers unveiled the first poster of Laikey Laikaa, and the feet of a couple can be seen. It shows two people standing face-to-face, visible only from the knees down. One wears blue jeans with blue sneakers, the other pink pants with red high-top sneakers. Their shoes almost touch, suggesting intimacy or confrontation. The wall behind them is scarred, cracked, and covered with splashes of bluish-blue, blood-red paint, giving the image a raw, intense tone.

At the centre is a broken heart graphic with bold, graffiti-style text reading 'Laikey Laikaa.' At the bottom right, it says “In cinemas Summer 2026.” Overall, the poster features a mix of romance and violence, portraying a dark love story with a rebellious, street art aesthetic.

The film is directed by Saurabh Gupta, and it is a new-age action romantic drama. As per an earlier ETimes report, Laikey Laikaa is based on a twisting action story set in a contemporary backdrop. Official plot details have not been widely released, but the producers have teased the film with the tagline: "She's the chaos. He's the calm. Or is it the other way around?". 

Meanwhile, the lead actor Abhay Verma has stated the film is about two individuals "caught up in a different world" and promised many surprises for the audience. The title itself has been noted by fans to mean "girl" (laikey) and "boy" (laikaa) in Bhojpuri.
