Vishwak Sen has been taking on back-to-back projects in his career and shows no signs of slowing down. He was last seen in the comedy caper Laila, which ended as a massive disaster at the box office. We at OTTplay have already reported that Amazon Prime acquired the digital rights to the film for a hefty price. Now, we have learned that Aha has also secured the OTT rights and will make Laila available for streaming on March 7, 2025.

Reports suggest that Aha paid a significant amount to bag the rights and will stream the film within a month of its theatrical release. We had previously reported that Laila would premiere on OTT within three weeks of its release, and the same has now been confirmed. However, Amazon Prime has yet to announce its digital release date for the film.
Directed by Ram Shankar, Laila failed to make even Rs 2 crore in its theatrical run. Vishwak Sen took on a unique role, appearing as a woman in the film, but the comedy was widely criticized as cringe-worthy and was rejected by audiences. Kannada actress Akanksha Singh made her Telugu debut with Laila, but unfortunately, her first outing turned into a major disappointment.

The film’s failure has led to severe trolling for Vishwak Sen. Ahead of Laila's release, he made several bold statements promoting the film, but once it flopped, netizens dug up his old speeches and ridiculed him online. With three consecutive failures at the box office, Vishwak Sen is under pressure to make a strong comeback.
Despite receiving support from industry bigwigs, including Chiranjeevi, nothing could salvage Laila’s fate. The film was pulled from theaters within just three days of its release.
