Lal Salaam: Aishwarya's film with Rajinikanth's cameo joins the Pongal race, makers reveal new poster

Fans of Rajinikanth are super excited as they have more than one reason to rejoice today. Earlier today, the makers of Thalaivar 170 (tentative title) made an official announcement on the movie and informed that they will come up with more updates tomorrow.

The team of Lal Salaam has also joined in making the fans overwhelmed. The project marks the comeback of Aishwarya Rajinikanth after almost a decade. Lyca Productions is bankrolling both projects; while Lal Salaam is ready for a release, Thalaivar 170 is likely to hit the screens next year.            

Lal Salaam joins the Pongal race

The movie which has the Superstar playing a cameo is set for a release during the Pongal festival in 2024. The team has made it official now. The Jailer star is expected to have two releases next year. Lal Salaam has Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth playing the lead characters.

It revolves around friendship and cricket. How an unexpected incident leaves the lives of two friends topsy-turvy forms the movie's plot. Rajini plays a Mumbai-based character who stands up for humanity. His appearance in the film was released a few months ago. 

A packed Pongal in the offing

It looks like the festival in January 2024 will witness a flurry of releases in Kollywood. Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan was the first to announce its arrival in Pongal. Sundar C's Aranmanai 4, Arun Vijay's Vanangaan and Jayam Ravi's Siren are other releases that are gearing up for the festival.

Lal Salaam will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. AR Rahman has composed music for the movie which has cinematography and editing handled by Vishnu Rangasamy and B Pravin Baaskar respectively.
