The teaser of Aishwarya Rajinikanth's comeback film, Lal Salaam is finally here. The film is a sports drama starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth as cricketers who play the sport amid testing conditions.
What's the teaser about?
Going by the teaser, which spans 1 minute and 39 seconds, it looks like Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth are avid cricketers. The teaser begins with what looks like communal riots in the city of Mumbai where the duo are seen facing each other. Cut to Tamil Nadu, we see an India- Pakistan cricket match happening at a village and it is likened to a war. Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal are cricketers from the opposite sides.
It is then that we see the stylish entry of Superstar Rajinikanth, who plays the cameo Moideen Bhai in the film. As he takes down the wrongdoers, he is also advising that religion should not get into the way of sports and one should inject the poison of communalism in the minds of youngsters.
Rajinikanth drops a video as Moideen Bhai
The actor, today, shared a video on his social media handle, in which he said that he was ready to meet everyone on the occasion of Pongal as Moideen Bhai. He also wished everyone a Happy Diwali. He signs off the Diwali message with Khuda Haafiz in Urdu, which translates to May God be your protector.
Cast and crew
The star cast comprises Rajinikanth, Vishnu Vishal, Vikranth, Senthil, Jeevitha, Thambi Ramaiah, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna and Thangadurai. Music for the film is by AR Rahman, cinematography by Vishny Rangasamy and editing by B Pravin Baaskar.
Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies has bagged the film's theatrical rights. Lal Salaam is all set to drop in theatres on the occasion of Pongal and will release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. This will be Rajinikanth's next release after Jailer.
