The Gujarati movie Chhello Show aka Last Film Show had left many cinephiles in the country surprised when it was chosen as India's entry for the 95th Academy Awards recently, surpassing SS Rajamouli's RRR. The film is now ready for a theatrical release on October 14.
However, makers have decided to come up with a unique offer for film buffs to attract them to movie halls. A special show of Last Film Show will be held at 95 theatres in the country on October 13. The ticket price for the movie will be just ₹95. But this is applicable only for the "last shows" in those selected theatres.
The makers hope that this move is likely to draw movie lovers to theatres. The trailer of the film was unveiled recently; its story revolves around a curious boy who becomes obsessed with cinema. How he sets out to study films forms the rest of its plot.
Pan Nalin, who directed the film, had recently said that the movie's story is based on his childhood days he spent in his village in Gujarat. It is his love for cinema as a child which he has now converted into Chhello Show.
Bhavin Rabari, Bhavesh Shrimali, Richa Meena and Dipen Raval play pivotal characters in the movie which has cinematography by Swapnil S Sonawane and music composed by Cyril Morin. Keyu Shah has penned dialogues for Last Film Show which has editing jointly handled by Shreyas Beltangdy and Pavan Bhat.
Roy Kapur Films, Jugaad Motion Pictures and Monsoon Films have jointly bankrolled the project which will be distributed in partnership with PVR in the country.
