Latest Tamil OTT releases (September 7- September 13) to watch on Prime Video, JioHotstar, Netflix, Sony LIV, theatres and more

With the new month of September, a bunch of Tamil films are awaiting to be released in theatres and on OTT platforms. With Madharaasi and Bad Girl running in theatres, the coming weeks will be seeing a bunch of new releases hitting theatres. Along with it, there are also some OTT releases lined up. On that note, here are the new releases of the upcoming week that you can stream and watch in theatres.

Coolie - Prime Video (September 11)

Coolie is an action thriller starring Rajinikanth in the lead role. The film is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The star-studded ensemble also includes Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Aamir Khan, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan and others. Coolie revolves around a mansion owner Deva, who sets out to find the real reason behind his friend’s mysterious death. It is not an LCU film, and came at the time when Rajinikanth is celebrating 50 years in industry.

Bomb - Theatres (September 12)

Directed by Vishal Venkat, the film features a strong cast including Arjun Das, Kaali Venkat and Nassar, among others. The film is a rural drama that blends drama, sentiment, and humour in form of a social political satire. Actors Shivathmika Rajashekar, Abhirami, Singampuli, and Balasaravanan are also part of the project. Manikandan Mathavan and Abishek Sabarigirison have written Bomb along with Vishal Venkat.

Thanal - Theatres (September 12)

Actor Atharvaa, who was last seen in DNA, will be headlining Thanal. Touted to be a thriller, Thanal. In the film, Atharvaa plays the role of a new police recruit. With a mix of romance, drama and thriller, the film promises to be gritty and action-packed story. Directed by Ravindra Madhava, the film also stars Lavanya Tripathi.

Blackmail - Theatres (September 12)

Starring GV Prakash Kumar in the lead role, Blackmail is written and directed by Mu Maran. The cast also includes Teju Ashwini, Srikanth, Bindu Madhavi and others. Said to be based on true incidents, the film revolves around those who are being blackmailed. The thriller has music scored by Sam CS.
