Latest Tamil OTT releases (Feb 24-Mar 2) to watch on Prime Video, JioHotstar, Netflix, Sony LIV, theatres and more

The second month of 2025 is almost over. But Tamil cinema has just started its year at the box office. As Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon is successfully running in theatres, the upcoming week will see some interesting releases lined up, including the web series of the year, Suzhal 2.

Sabdham - Theatres (February 28)

Sabdham is a supernatural horror thriller film starring Aadhi Pinisetty in the lead role. The actor will be reuniting with director Arivazhagan after their critically acclaimed horror film Eeram. Aadhi will be playing the role of a paranormal investigator. Lakshmi Menon, Simran, Laila, Redin Kingsley, MS Baskar, Rajiv Menon, and Vivek Prasanna are also part of the film.

Aghathiyaa – Theatres (February 28)

Directed by Pa Vijay, Aghathiyaa is a horror fantasy film, starring Jiiva in the lead role. The film features an ensemble star cast including actors Arjun Sarja, Raashii Khanna, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Reddin Kingsley, and others. The film revolves around the themes of reincarnation and unearthing ancient secrets that are relevant and more than precious in today's times.

Suzhal: The Vortex Season 2 – Prime Video (February 28)

Suzhal The Vortex is a crime thriller series created by Pushkar and Gayatri, with the second season soon to premiere. It stars Kathir, Aishwarya Rajesh, Lal, Saravanan, Manjima Mohan, Kayal Chandran, Gouri G Kishan, Samyuktha Viola Viswanathan, Monisha Blessy, Rini, Shrisha, Abhirami Bose, Nikhila Sankar, Kalaivani Bhaskar, Ashwini Nambiar, Chandini Tamilarasan and others. Bramma and Sarjun KM have directed the series. Suzhal 2 will continue from where the first season ended, with Nandini jailed for killing the person responsible for her sister's death. With her lawyer also murdered, this season is set against the Ashtakaali festival.

Madurai Paiyanum Chennai Ponnum – Aha Tamil (ongoing)

Madurai Paiyanum Chennai Ponnum is an ongoing web series. Starring Kanna Ravi and Angelin in the lead roles, it is a perfect blend of comedy, emotions, and Tamil culture. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Tamil Nadu, Madurai Paiyanum Chennai Ponnum is a heartwarming rom-com that explores the cultural and personal differences between a Madurai boy and a Chennai girl. The romantic comedy-drama series is directed by Vignesh Pazhanivel.
