As we step into a new week, it is time for new releases. With notable releases coming out last week, the strike continues. Here are the Tamil releases you can watch both on big and small screens this week.
Freedom is an upcoming Tamil film featuring Sasikumar and Lijomol Jose in the lead roles. The film is directed by Sathyasiva and is based on true events. Freedom is about a group of Sri Lankan refugees who were captured and imprisoned at the Vellore jail after being suspected of a national-level crime. The film revolves around the brutality that refugees faced and how they escaped. Malavika Avinash, Bose Venkat, Ramesh Khanna, Boys Manikandan and others are part of the cast.
Kaliyugam is a dystopian thriller set in the near future. Directed by Pramidh Sundar, the film features Shraddha Srinath, Kishore and others. The film revolves around a world, which has become an inhabitable land for those who do not have resources, as the divide between the rich and poor is far more established and rigid. However, when a few revolutionists break the barrier and get access to a safe house, the unimaginable awaits. Iniyan Subramani, Asmal, Harry, Mithun, David Santhosh, among others, have also acted in the film.
Oho Enthan Baby is a Tamil romantic comedy film starring Rudra and Mithila Palkar in the lead roles. The upcoming movie is directed by filmmaker Krishnakumar Ramakumar of Modern Love Chennai fame. The cast of Oho Enthan Baby also includes Anju Kurian, Mysskin, Redin Kingsley, Karunakaran, Geetha Kailasam, Balaji Sakthivel, Sujatha Babu, Nirmal Pillai, Nivashini, Arun Kurian, Vijayasarathy, Kasthuri, Vaibhavi Tandle, among others. It is produced by Vishnu Vishal.
Narivetta is a Malayalam thriller which will be available in Tamil as well. The film features Tovino Thomas as a cop and is directed by Anuraj Manohar. It also features Cheran, Suraj Venjaramoodu and others. The film revolves around the confrontations between a group of cops and tribals who have been demanding the land allocated to them. Narivetta is written by Abin Joseph.
