Come July, you will be welcomed with a fresh batch of releases in Tamil. The upcoming week will see a fair share of both OTT and theatrical releases, some of which are expected to have good reception, thanks to the notable names associated with it. Here are the Tamil releases you can watch both on big and small screens.
Madras Matinee starring Kaali Venkat, Sathyaraj, and others, directed by Karthikeyan Mani is a drama about the working class. The film revolves around an auto-rickshaw drier who aspires to achieve better living standards. Roshini Haripriyan. Shelly, George Mariyan, Sunil Sugatha, Madhumitha, Geetha Kailasam, and Banupriya are also part of the cast.
Good Wife is a Tamil web series headlined by Priyamani and directed by Revathy. The series is an adaptation of American legal political drama The Good Wife and will consist of six episodes. A combination of family drama and courtroom proceedings, the series will also feature Sampath Raj, Aari Arjun and others.
3BHK is a family drama about a middle-class family’s ambition to buy a house of their own. Directed by Sri Ganesh, the film features Siddharth, Sarathkumar, Devyani, Meetha Ragunath, Chaithra J Achar and others. The film takes us through the various stages of the family, as they struggle together to achieve their dream.
Paranthu Po is a coming-of-age film by director Ram. Featuring Shiva, Grace Antony, Aju Varghese, Anjali, Mithul Ryan and others, Paranthu Po is touted to be a musical comedy which will feature a father and son’s road trip away from the bustling and busy nature of city life.

Uppu Kappurambu is a Telugu film which will also be available in Tamil to stream. A direct to OTT release featuring Keerthy Suresh and Suhas, the period drama is set in a fictional village and revolves around the burial infrastructure in the village. The film is directed by Ani IV Sasi.
