When the first-look glimpse of Arjun's character Harold Das was dropped on the occasion of his birthday (August 15), it instantly set the internet on fire. Arjun's entry scene bore a striking resemblance to that of Suriya's Rolex's entry scene in Vikram, which also marked Lokesh Kanagaraj's last outing. Now the latest we hear is that Vishal was the original choice to play Harold Das.
Vishal approached to play Harold Das
During the promotions for his upcom ing film, Mark Antony, Vishal revealed that the Leo team had approached him to play Harold Das, Vijay's younger brother in the film. "I was supposed to play Vijay's brother in the film, but I couldn't do the film. I don't do two films at a time, where I have to shoot for one character for two days and another for the next ten days. I will end up becoming a split personality if I do that. Lokesh wanted me to dedicate four months to the character and I didn't have that kind of time. When I explained my situation to Lokesh, he understood."
Vishal hopes to work with Vijay soon
He added that he wished to work with Vijay some time soon in the future. "I think the character that I was supposed to do has become the elder brother now. I told Lokesh that he was lucky as he got Vijay's dates once again (Leo is Lokesh Kanagaraj's second film with Vijay after Master). I want to narrate a story to Vijay soon and get him on board for a film."
It was not long ago that Vishal had revealed that Vijay had watched the teaser of Mark Antony and had also released it offline. The actor had then dropped the pictures of Vijay watching the teaser on the mobile phone. He had shared his excitement on his social media handle along with the caption, "Happy to have met my dearest Brother & Hero @actorvijay Thank you so much for watching my teaser…. Always proud to be your fan, GB (sic)."
