Ever since Vishal tweeted the hashtag #ThalapathyVijayforMarkAntony on his social media handle, speculations have been rife that the Leo star could make an appearance in the film. Now the reason behind the hashtag has been revealed. Vishal has now revealed that Thalapathy watched the teaser of the film recently. He also dropped a series of pictures with Thalapathy watching the teaser with Vishal, the film's director Adhik Ravichandran and the rest of the team. Later, the actor is also seen hugging Vishal and posing with the Mark Antony actor.

Vishal thanked Vijay and wrote that he will always be a proud fan. He captioned the pictures, "Happy to have met my dearest Brother & Hero @actorvijayThank you so much for watching my teaser….Always proud to be your fan, GB (sic)."

Though there is no clarity yet on whether Vijay himself has agreed to release the teaser which is slated to release at 6.30pm, the team is excited that the actor is involved in the project this way. What's interesting is that the Varisu star has never promoted other's films, expect Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan.

SJ Suryah, who plays the other lead in the film, also thanked the Leo star and wrote, "Thank you thalapathy @actorvijay sir for this great support MARK ANTONY TEASER TODAY EVENING 6.30pm (sic)."

Mark Antony, helmed by Adhik Ravichandran has Ritu Varma as the leading lady. The film also stars Sunil, Selvaraghavan, Abhinaya, Nizhalgal Ravi and Y Gee Mahendran. GV Prakash Kumar has scored the music.

Cinematography for the film is by Abhinandan Ramanujam. While Vijay Velukutty is the editor, the stunt choreography has been handled by choreographed by Kanal Kannan, Peter Hein, and Ravi Varma. Considering Vishal's penchant for stunt-driven and action-oriented films, it looks like there will be some heavy-duty action sequences in the film.

The film is bankrolled by S Vinok Kumar, which marks Vishal's second collaboration after Enemy. Mark Antony will release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Vishal had earlier dropped a new poster from the film in the respective languages.
