Lift trailer: Kavin, Amritha get trapped in a haunted office lift, leading to some tense moments

It was announced recently that Vineeth Varaprasad's Lift, starring Kavin and Amritha in lead roles, will have a premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on October 1. The makers also revealed that Sivakarthikeyan will unveil the movie's trailer on Friday evening. The Doctor star took to Twitter to release the trailer, the duration of which, is around three minutes. 

Expressing happiness in unveiling the same, Siva said the trailer is awesome and added that he is looking forward to the movie. S Yuva has handled cinematography for the film which has music by Britto Michael. Stunner Sam and G Madan have choreographed action scenes and handled editing respectively.               

The movie has been riding high on expectations ever since the project was announced, thanks to the overnight stardom Kavin gained after his participation in Bigg Boss Tamil 3. Every news associated with Lift was lapped up instantly by his hardcore fans on social media. Interestingly, the young actor is now working as as assistant director in Nelson's Beast, starring Vijay in the lead. Fans of Kavin were elated to know that he is donning a new avatar in the big-budget action thriller. Amritha, too, shot to fame after her notable appearance in Atlee's Vijay-Nayanthara-starrer Bigil.       

The trailer of Lift begins with employees in a software firm which is on a multi-storey building working their asses off. Kavin, one among them, works till late night and enters the office lift in a hurry to leave home. However, it repeatedly acts weirdly which make him panic. Later, he is joined by Amritha, who seems to be another employee in the building. Though the duo manage to escape to another floor, they find that the building is haunted, and seek help from people outside the huge building. After so many struggles, they manage to get the attention of an unknown person. But being busy making out with someone, he shuts the door in his face, thus crushing their final hopes.
