Starring Kathryn Newton as Lisa Swallows, Cole Sprouse as her crush-cum-reanimated corpse, and Carla Gugino as her narcissistic stepmother. It also marks Filipino-American actress Liza Soberano’s glamorous Hollywood debut, as she plays Lisa’s stepsister, Taffy Swallows. Fans are overwhelmed by Soberano’s comedic timing as a popular high school girl. “Finally!!! The critics were right; you stole the show, babe,” a Twitter user wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Set in the 80s, Lisa Frankenstein is a coming-of-rage story that centers around a misfit teenage girl whose life takes a sinister turn when her dark desire comes true when her dead crush awakens after a mysterious event. This interspecies couple teams up to eliminate bad people and embarks on a murderous spree.

Despite Cole Sprouse's no visible dialogue in the film, the viewers were impressed by his acting skills as an undead lover.
