Disney+ Hotstar is coming out with a new medical drama series titled Heart Beat. Starring actors Anu Mol, Deepa Balu, and Yogalakshmi, among others, Heart Beat is expected to be a light-hearted series that will follow the life of a junior surgeon as she navigates through her stressful professional and personal life. The series is set to premiere on March 8.

The Good Doctor - Netflix

This American media drama series is based on the south Korean series of the same name. The Good Doctor follows the life of autistic surgeon Shaum Murphy who relocates to California from a small city. Even with his troubled past, Shaun tries to work at a renowned hospital and earn a name for himself. Starring actors Freddie Highmore, Nicholas Gonzalez, Antonia Thomas, among others, there are seven seasons of the show. Besides many awards, the show earned positive reviews for its characterisations and lead actor's performance.

Mumbai Diaries - Prime Video

Mumbai Diaries is a Hindi medical drama, created by Nikkhil Advani. The series revolves around the high-pressure circumstances the medical staff are put into at times of crisis. While the first season is set against the backdrop of the 2008 Mumbai attacks, the second one takes place during the 2005 Mumbai floods. The series stars Mohil Raina, Konkana Sen Sharma, Tina Desai, and Shreya Dhanwanthary, among others. The series received positive reception for its making and showing the chaotic working atmosphere of medical staff.

Hospital Playlist - Netflix

Hospital Playlist is a light-hearted series that follows the lives of five doctors who are friends from their medical school days. As each of the friends hails from a different background, the series attempts to humanise medical staff while at the same time highlighting the friendship among each other. The series stars Jo Jung-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, Jung Kyung-ho, and Jeon Mi-do, among others. The two-season series consists of 24 episodes.

Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii - SonyLIV

Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii stars Additi Gupta, Rohit Purohit, Vidyut Xavier, Nishant Singh, Raghav Dhirr, and Kaushik Chakravorty among others. It follows the life of Dr Deepika Sinha who must sacrifice her family, love and personal life in order to pursue her passion in medicine. The series revolves around the hardships that she has to face due to her gender and the pressure of the industry. The series mostly garnered positive reviews and was praised for its women empowerment storyline.

Ghost Doctor - Netflix

Ghost Doctor is a Korean series, which has two surgeons hailing from different schools of thought and backgrounds to become one person when one person's spirit possesses the other. Starring Rain and Kim Bum in the lead roles, the series consists of 16 episodes. The fantasy medical drama is directed by Boo Seong-cheol and won accolades for its unique premise.
