Mundasupatti - Disney+ Hotstar

A period comedy drama, Mundasupatti, starring Vishnu Vishal, Nandita Swetha, and Kaali Venkat, among others, is directed by Ram Kumar. The film is set in a fictional village where people blindly believe that it is unlucky to get photographed. Based on the director's short film, Vishnu Vishal plays a photographer who moves to the village and gets dismayed by the superstitious beliefs that the villagers hold. After an aimless youth named Bosepandi falls in love with a girl, the film revolves around all the humorous conflicts he has to deal with with her father, played by Sathyaraj. Also starring Sri Divya and Soori, among others, Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam has music composed by D Imman. Winner – Sun NXT

Winner is an action-comedy drama written and directed by Sundar C. Starring Prashanth and Kiran, the film's show stealer became Vadivelu with his role as Kaipullai. Set in Pollachi, Winner revolves around a city-bred youngster visiting his grandparents' village in Pollachi and falling in love with a girl. The film's comedy track featuring Vadivelu proved to be a huge success for the film.

Kalavani – Disney+ Hotstar

Released in 2010, Kalavani is a romantic comedy starring Vimal and Oviya. Made on a shoestring budget, the film became a success upon release. The film is about two youngsters who come from rival villages, fall in love and try to elope, much to the chagrin of the villagers. A Sarkunam directed the film.
