The iconic slapstick comedy film directed by KS Ravikumar, featured Kamal Haasan in the role of Pandian, a struggling dance choreographer. Pandian disguises himself as an elderly Brahmin woman named Avvai Shanmugi, to meet his little daughter Bharathi, who stays with his ex-wife Janaki and her strict father Vishwanatha Iyer.

Vijay, a rich young businessman neglects his family business and spends all his time partying and flirting with women. However, things take a different turn when the company suffers major loss and his father Rajasekhar dies in a plane crash. Vijay hires an elderly man named Selvam to act as his father, as his dad is required to sign some documents to save the company. Vijay and Sivaji Ganesan played the lead roles in the film, directed by SA Chandrasekhar.

Samsaram Adhu Minsaram

The comedy-drama directed by Visu narrates the story of Ammaiyappan Mudaliar and Godavari, who leads a peaceful life with their three sons, daughter, and daughter-in-law Uma. When the closely knit family slowly starts drifting apart, Uma comes up with some ideas for reuniting them. Raman, who is enraged with the tragic death of his twin brother, sets out to extract revenge.
