Keerthy Suresh’s Raghu Thatha is soon to make its OTT debut on September 13 on ZEE5. The film is a period comedy-drama in which the actor plays a young woman named Kayalvizhi who is caught between the patriarchal world and her principles. The film explores the misogynistic world and how the protagonist tackles it. Aruvi is a 2017 Tamil film written and directed by Arun Prabhu Purushothaman. The film is headlined by Aditi Balan, and is about a young woman who is on the mission to expose the consumerist and patriarchal nature of society, and in that attempt participates in a reality television show. Aruvi is critically acclaimed film and was produced by Dream Warrier Pictures.

36 Vayadhinile – Aha

36 Vayadhinile is a comedy drama helmed by Rosshan Andrrews and is a remake of his film How Old Are You. 36 Vayadhinile is headlined by Jyothika, with her husband and actor Suriya serving as producer. The film also stars Rahman, Abhirami, Nassar, Delhi Ganesh and Siddhartha Basu appear in other prominent roles. It follows the life of a middle-aged woman who wants to rediscover her life. She finds the chance appropriate when her daughter and husband leave to Ireland.

Kanaa – SonyLIV

Kanaa is a sports drama starring Sathyaraj, Aishwarya Rajesh, Sivakarthikeyan, and Darshan among others. The film is helmed by Arunraja Kamaraj and is about a young girl who aspires to make it big as a cricketer, a field that is predominantly ruled by men. Kanaa was remade in Telugu as Kousalya Krishnamurthy. Actor Sivakarthikeyan who backed the film, makes a cameo appearance.

Gargi – SonyLIV

Gargi is headlined Sai Pallavi and is directed by Gautham Ramachandran. The film revolves around a legal battle taken up by a young woman after her father is accused of assaulting a girl child. Gargi also stars RS Sivaji, Kaali Venkat, and others in prominent roles. Gargi opened to positive reception after its release.

Irudhi Suttru – SonyLIV

Irudhi Suttru is a sports drama directed by Sudha Kongara. The film stars Madhavan and Ritika Singh in the lead roles. It revolves around a young girl from low-income settlement area who is taken under the wings of an outcast boxing coach, and trained to excel in the sports. The film was made simultaneously in Hindi as Saala Khadoos.
