This week marks the debut of Lockerbie: A Search For Truth, a limited series that promises to be one of the most profound and heartbreaking of 2025. Based on a true event and starring Colin Firth, the series follows Dr. Jim Swire as he seeks answers after his daughter and 270 others die in the 1988 Lockerbie bombing over the quiet Scottish border town. Series plot and cast
The show follows Swire and his wife Jane, played by Catherine McCormack, as they seek justice for their daughter's death in an airplane crash. Their cries for assistance go unanswered when they approach Paul Channon (Guy Henry), the UK's transport secretary. In an attempt to unravel the events at Lockerbie, Channon persistently advises Swire to relinquish his independent investigation and entrust the matter to the experts.
