Lokah Chapter 1 box office collection Day 11: Kalyani Priyadarshan film on the verge of entering Rs 200 crore club

Kalyani Priyadarshan's Lokah Chapter 1-Chandra is getting extremely positive reviews from moviegoers around the world. The fantasy thriller is gaining popularity nationwide, particularly surpassing the box office receipts of previous Malayalam blockbusters like Marco, 2018 and Aadujeevitham.

Lokah garners over Rs 150 in box office

Industry tracker Sacnilk claims that Lokah has made over Rs 180 crore globally, crossing Rs 50 crore in Kerala on Day 10. Meanwhile, it has outperformed Tovino Thomas-starrer ARM, which made its Onam theatrical debut last year, in terms of box office receipts. It has also surpassed Aadujeevitham and 2018's collection records. With Mohanlal's Thudarum and L2: Empuraan being the highest grossing Malayalam films, Lokah currently ranks fourth among the top Malayalam grossers globally. 

It's anticipated that this film would soon reach the Rs 200 crore mark after a good theatrical run in Malayalam and other languages. Based on its total revenue, it has also emerged as the most successful South Indian women-centric film. Due to the high demand in cinemas, more shows—particularly night screenings—are being added every day. Many people watched the Dominic Arun-directed film on the big screen several times after its premiere, thanks to the positive reviews.

Lokah sees tremendous success worldwide

The fantasy thriller's actors and crew expressed its joy at achieving the Rs 100 crore mark in a single week of theatrical release on August 28. They are also busy travelling to different locations and promoting the film in other languages. The cast and crew thanked the renowned filmmakers Nag Ashwin and Venky Atluri for the tremendous success at an extravagant event in Hyderabad. This film has Dulquer Salmaan's backing. 

On September 5, Lokah was released in Hindi in an attempt to draw in more viewers and boost box office earnings. In addition to Malayalam, the film is currently being shown in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The fantasy thriller also stars Tovino Thomas, Naslen, Chandu Salimkumar, Durga Vinod and Sunny Wayne.
