Loot is a comedy show that satirizes the selfishness and narcissism of the ultra-rich without dehumanizing them. It shows the highs and lows of their lives and how even billionaires can become aware and do the right thing when among the right kind of people. Loot Season 2 begins a year after the events of Season 1. As Loot Season 2’s OTT release date draws close, a trailer has been released for the same.
Loot Season 2 will be unburied and released on Apple TV, its home platform, April 3, 2024, onward. Created by Alan Yang and Matt Hubbard, season 1 of Loot had premiered in June 2022. Maya Rudolph, who leads the project onscreen, also serves as an executive producer for the show. Loot follows the adventures and antics of recently divorced trophy wife, Molly, who has ended up becoming the third-richest woman in the world after divorce.

Thanks to her cheating tech billionaire ex-hubby John Novak, she is a few hundred billion dollars richer. After a whirlwind of ill-fated relationships, unsuccessful public stints, humiliation by her husband of 20 years and his mistress cum now-partner, Molly donates her fortune to charity at the end of Season 1 and despite promising to talk to Arthur, who wanted to confess his feelings for her, she tumbled into Jean-Pierre's bed again.

In Loot Season 2, Molly has sworn off men. All she wishes for is some happiness, spunky parties, and a successfully running charity foundation that will make good use of her money and help people. The trailer shows her moving ahead with the ‘housing for all’ plan and sipping on gin-spiked folic acid kale smoothies, thanks to Nicholas her assistant. But what will Molly do when a hot guy is paired with her for couple’s yoga at a retreat that awakens desires within her?
The show will see the return of several beloved cast members, along with some new additions. Maya Rudolph returns as Molly Wells, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez as Sofia, the director of her foundation, Joel Kim Booster as Nicholas, Ron Funches as Howard, the foundation’s IT specialist, and Nat Faxon as Arthur, the divorced accountant of the charity. Miss Congeniality’s Benjamin Bratt, Mean Girls star Ana Gasteyer and The Handmaid’s Tale fame O-T Fagbenle.
