Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) latest release date revealed: Pradeep Ranganathan to not have hattrick release in 2025

Love Insurance Kompany, the upcoming Tamil romantic drama starring actor-director Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role, has already witnessed quite a few reshuffles in its release date. First announced for Diwali, LIK then averted the clash with Pradeep’s another film Dude. Subsequently, it was scheduled for December 18, but with the film not hitting big screens this week, LIK is once again slotted for another release window.

Love Insurance Kompany stars Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role, and is written and directed by filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. The film has been in the making for a while, with a release date yet to be locked after postponing from December 18.

However, as per sources accessed by OTTplay, LIK is looking to have a release for Valentine’s Day in February 2026. A source in the know said that the post-production works are on for LIK, and with the OTT deal confirmed for February 2026, the film will hit theatres in a couple of months. Tiruppur Subramanian, part of Tamil Nadu Theatres Association, also concurred that they were informed by the makers that LIK will release in the second week of February, in time for Valentine’s Day. An official announcement on the release date is yet to be made by the team.

What is LIK about?

LIK is a romantic drama set in the future. The film stars Krithi Shetty, SJ Suryah, Gouri Kishan, Seeman and others, apart from Pradeep Ranganathan. LIK will talk about the future of relationships in times ahead of us, and how couples find true love. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring music for the film, which is written and directed by Vignesh Shivan.

With LIK not releasing in theatres in 2025, Pradeep Ranganthan, who was supposed to have a hat-trick of releases with Dragon and Dude, will be missing the opportunity. LIK was first announced with Sivakarthikeyan in 2019, with Pradeep Ranganthan eventually coming on board the project.
