Actor Aniissh, who made his directorial debut with the commercial entertainer Ramarjuna, is ready with his sophomore project as filmmaker. This time around, he’s done a Kannada-Telugu bilingual, which he has written, directed and acted in. Called Love OTP, the film marks Aniissh’s Telugu debut and will be in theatres in November, as per the trailer that was released on October 11.
What is Love OTP about?
In the trailer, Aniissh is seen as Akshay, an aspiring cricketer, who is more often drawn into fights and gets beaten up too, than excelling in the sport of his choice. The reason, it turns out, is Akshay’s rather amorous ways, juggling two relationships at the same time. This despite the fact that his father is a police officer, who is not too keen on love relationships. How does Akshay handle his rather unique situation forms the major crux of the film.
Love OTP, in which OTP stands for Over Torture Pressure, and has Aniissh paired with Aarohi and Jahnvika Kalaker, while Rajeev Kanakala has a pivotal role. The cast also includes Pramodini, Natya Ranga, Chetan Gandharva, Ravi Bhat, Thulasi, Annapoorna, among others. Music is by Anand Rajavikram, cinematography by Harsha Vardhan K.
The film is likely to be a November 21 or 28 release, since Simple Suni has booked November 14 for his Gatha Vaibhava. Rishi’s Mangalupram is also said to be a November 14 release as also Bigg Boss Kannada 9 winner Roopesh Shetty’s next directorial, the Tulu-Kannada bilingual, Jai. An official announcement is expected shortly about Love OTP.
