Love Storiyaan: Kolkata influencer Jhilam Gupta makes a grand entry in Karan Johar’s docu-fiction

Now, Jhilam debuted on the OTT. The series, produced by Karan Johar, was released on Amazon Prime. How did she become an actress from a content creator?

Jhilam debuted with director Collin D’Cunha’s docu-fiction Love Storia. The series tells the love story of couples of different age groups. It also tells the story of the relationships of the LGBTQ people. Jhilam plays Dipan in such a story. She told Anandabazar Online, “You get noticed if you do content creation properly.” She long wished to act. She tried to give her best in the series. Animesh Bapuli did the casting of the Kolkata part. He contacted Jhilam.

Jhilam previously acted in a small role in Kolkata Chalantika. But this time, she has a huge audience. She said, “I knew I would do something good. But I didn't know I would get such a platform. It is a fantastic experience. Since it is a huge production house, we can reach a huge audience.” Will she now leave YouTube and concentrate on acting? Jhilam said, “I always liked to act. If I get a scope in the future, I will try to give my best.”
