Pradeep Ranganathan, who made heads turn with his debut directorial flick Comali in 2019, has scored a blockbuster with his acting debut Love Today, which also has him helming it. The rom-com which was released earlier this month has been lapped up by the young audience.

He has been the talk of the town ever since the movie hit the screens, and many celebs and movie buffs have been showering praise on his acting and directing skills. It isn't an exaggeration to say that Kollywood is looking forward to his next film.

The young actor-filmmaker has now landed in a soup after a few of his old Facebook posts have gone viral. Sensing the damage, he has deleted his Facebook account. Some of the posts include him accusing music director Yuvan Shankar Raja as "waste" and "fraud".

Interestingly, Yuvan has composed music for Love Today, and his background score is one of the highlights of the film. A few other old posts of his include abusing cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Netizens have divided over criticizing Pradeep over the posts he came up with a decade ago.

While a few are having a whale of a time trolling him on Twitter, some others point out that it isn't ethically right to criticize someone for their past actions. A few months ago, when the first look and title of Love Today were unveiled, a tweet of him mocking Vijay's Sura did the rounds on social media.

Meanwhile, the film is set for a Telugu release this Friday in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Veteran Tollywood producer Dil Raju has acquired the movie's theatrical rights in both the states. The film's digital rights have been bagged by Netflix.
