Love Today is a project which evoked curiousity among moviegoers ever since its first look posters were unveiled. The fun-filled trailer further elevated its hype and the movie went on to garner positive response upon its release. The Pradeep Ranganathan-starrer which has been helmed by himself turned out to be the most profitable Tamil film of 2022.

His chemistry with Ivana, the presence of Sathyaraj and Radhika Sarathkumar, music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and engaging conflicts were highlights of the rom-com which was lapped up by the young audience. The project, bankrolled by AGS Entertainment, was the second directorial venture of Pradeep and his maiden attempt as a hero.

The success of Love Today was an eye-opener for Kollywood trade pundits as it exceeded the expectations of film lovers. The low budget movie, released in November, is said to have grossed more than 80 crores and garnered praise from various sections of audience after its premiere on Netflix in December.

Archana Kalpathi, creative producer of AGS Entertainment, took to her Twitter page to express excitement on the film having completed 100 days. The super hit movie is still running in a couple of movie halls in Chennai.

She tweeted, "LoveToday completes 100 days of theatrical run A huge victory only possible because of all the love we got from all of you. Thank u for standing with us, rooting for us and making this film a cult classic (sic)."

Pradeep is yet to sign his next movie amid various speculations doing the rounds on his third directorial project. On the other hand, Ivana will be seen sharing screen presence with Harish Kalyan in Let's Get Married, the first Tamil film to be bankrolled by Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
