Love & War: Ranbir Kapoor’s transformation of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus makes internet call him ‘Daddy Kapoor' - Check out

While we await Eid 2025 and the release of Salman Khan’s Sikandar, the anticipation is at an all-time high for Eid 2026 already because the fans cannot wait for the next Sanjay Leela Bhansali epic to hit the big screen. The filmmaker, as we speak, is shaping his next magnum opus called Love & War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in the leading roles. The film, which is said to be a contemporary period drama, has been one of the most anticipated films of the year. And now, as the filming progresses, the transformation of the actors into their respective characters is commendable. But you clearly weren't prepared for Daddy Kapoor to break the internet with his workout skills.

Ranbir Kapoor's Love & War Transformation

For the unversed, Ranbir Kapoor has been shooting for Ramayana: Part One followed by Love & War back to back. The actor, before this, did Animal, and all three movies required him to have a distinctive physique. While Animal had him bulked up, in Ramayana, he maintained his natural lean body. However, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War demands him to be chiseled and lean. It turns out the actor has transformed himself for the third time in the last couple of years and is now looking extremely edgy, and the internet has dubbed him "Daddy Kapoor" already. 

Ranbir Kapoor's trainer shared a photo on Instagram, where the actor can be seen performing an insane push-up, almost resembling an airplane, with his body straight and suspended in the air. We can see how chiseled he is, and the cuts and muscles are leaving the fans excited. The mustache for Love & War is just the cherry on top, earning him the "Daddy Kapoor" status.

Besides calling him Daddy Kapoor, one user wrote, “TABAHIII,” another wrote, “Damn, Bir.” One user commented, “Handsome Superstar Ranbir Kapoor,” while others called it insane. The team has been shooting for the movie for a while, and we have seen glimpses of the actors making it to the sets and even some behind-the-scenes moments.

For the unversed, Love & War stars Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, and Ranbir Kapoor in leading roles and is said to be a love triangle, a genre Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a master of. The film is said to feature a massive ensemble, and earlier reports claimed it was a remake of Sangam. However, this was later ruled out by Bhansali himself, who called the news false. It turns out the production of the movie has begun in full swing, and Alia Bhatt has joined the team, too. There is also a big superstar cameo in the works.
