Maa Nanna Superhero: It’s a wrap for Sudheer Babu’s father-son drama with Abhilash Reddy Kankara

Writer, director Abhilash Reddy Kankara, who rose to prominence with his web shows Ekkadiki Ee Parugu, Loser, is making his feature film with a father-son drama titled Maa Nanna Superhero. Sudheer Babu headlines the film which has Aarna playing the female lead. The supporting cast comprises Sai Chand, Sayaji Shinde, Raju Sundaram, Shashank, Aamani, and Annie.

Sunil Balusu is bankrolling the film under V Celluloids in collaboration with CAM Entertainment. While the team shared an update about the film on Father’s Day recently, the makers have now announced that the shoot of Maa Nanna Superhero has been wrapped up. Sudheer Babu and team came together for a ‘wrap up’ picture and shared a video from the shoot location as well.

“It's a wrap for #MaaNannaSuperHero ! Happy to have worked with such a talented team and to have brought this project to life,” Sudheer Babu tweeted. The film revolves around a father’s search for his son who had disappeared many years ago and the various surprises, twists in his journey. Maa Nanna Superhero promises to be a rollercoaster ride of emotions, humour and adequate drama.

Sai Chand is cast as Sudheer Babu’s father in the film. MVS Bharadwaj, Shravan Madala have co-written the film with Abhilash. Sameer Kalyani cranks the camera while Jay Krish is the music director. Anil Kumar P, who had associated with Abhilash Reddy for his web projects as well is the editor. Jhansi Gojala is the production designer and Maheshwar Reddy Gojala is the creative producer.

Sudheer Babu is simultaneously awaiting the release of the crime caper Mama Mascheendra, directed by Harshavardhan, where he is paired alongside Eesha Rebba, Mrinalini Ravi. He’s also part of a thriller titled Harom Hara, directed by Sehari maker Gnanasagar Dwaraka and produced by Gorrela Subrahmanyam. The release dates of the three films will be confirmed shortly.
