Maa song Kali Shakti teaser: Kajol's song will give you flashbacks of Deepika Padukone's Nagada Sang Dhol, Ghoomar

Kajol's Maa theme song Kali Shakti teaser is out now, and it sees the actress embrace a form of Goddess. However, one moment will take you back to the times of Deepika Padukone's grace while dancing. It is the twirl. Yes, Kajol did the infamous twirl and it is bound to instantly remind you of Nagada Sang Dhol, a song from Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela, for more reasons than one.

In the Kali Shakti teaser that is unveiled, Kajol is seen twirling towards the end of it. Since her attire is closer to Deepika Padukone in the Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela song, she is bound to remind you of the same. However, the twirl in itself is more relevant to the Padmaavat song, Ghoomer. Again featuring Deepika, the track saw her dolled up and happened to play a pivotal moment in the film, for it reflected Deepika's beauty through the song. As for Kali Shakti, like Nagada Sang Dhol, it is more about taking power back into one's own hands.

Through the teaser, Kajol has confirmed that the track would be out tomorrow. It is the song which has played an important part in the promos of the film, including the teaser and trailer.

About Maa

Coming from the Shaitaan Universe (featuring Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, Janki Bodiwala and Jyothika), Maa is the story of a mother who goes to lengths to save her daughter from an evil tree named Doitto. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on June 27. The original film Vash 2 is also scheduled for a theatrical release after Maa, and thus, we can expect an announcement on Shaitaan 2 soon enough. However, the makers have not spoken about it thus far.
