Maama Mascheendra trailer: Sudheer Babu in a crime caper where an evil uncle takes on his nephews

Sudheer Babu, who recently wrapped up the shoot of his father-son drama Maa Nanna Superhero, is now awaiting the release of his crime comedy Maama Mascheendra. The film, which features Eesha Rebba and Mirnalini Ravi as the female leads, is gearing up for a worldwide release on October 6. The project marks the directorial debut of actor, writer Harshavardhan.

The trailer of the crime caper was launched by Mahesh Babu today. “Happy to launch the trailer of #MaamaMascheendra... Looks like a blast!! All the best to @isudheerbabu and team! In Cinemas Oct 6th!” the star tweeted. Harsha Vardhan, Ali reza, Rajeev Kanakala, Hariteja, Ajay, Mirchi Kiran play other key roles in the film produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao.

Sharing his happiness at the trailer launch, Sudheer Babu added, “We are proud to present the result of our 18 months of passion, dedication and creativity. #MaamaMascheendra is a film that will captivate and delight you from start to finish.” The story revolves around an ageing gangster with a dark past who clashes with his nephews - Durga and DJ (who fall in love with his daughters).

The film alternates between the three roles played by Sudheer Babu, focusing on their love lives, motives and the twists and turns in their relationship. In the plot, both the nephews look like their uncle and the latter’s daughters see that as a reason to get attracted to them. Where’s the tale headed? Maama Mascheendra promises to be captivating tale packed with many twists and humour.

Chaitan Bharadwaj scores the music for the film which has cinematography by PG Vinda while Rajeev Nair is the art director. Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor and Pravin Lakkaraju works on the background score. Vijay Binni and Bhanu Master have choreographed the songs. Wingchun Anji is the stunt director. Srishti Celluloid presents the film.
