Sivakarthikeyan, who was busy shooting for Rajkumar Periyasamy's SK21 in Kashmir, has now embarked on a south Indian promotional tour for his upcoming film, Maaveeran. The actor is currently in Kochi for the promotions and during the promo, the actor urged his fans in Kerala to watch the film. What's interesting is that he made the request in Malayalam.

When the host asked if the actor would take the plunge into Malayalam films, he said that he was ready for a Malayalam film but was unsure about his Malayalam. The host added that his Malayalam was adipoli and hence, should go ahead with the plan. Sivakarthikeyan jocularly said that if he did a Malayalam film, his entire dialogue would comprise one line, which is adipoli, no matter what kind of scene he was doing.

Earlier, during the promotions in Hyderabad, Sivakarthikeyan had the entire audience in rapture after he recreated a popular dialogue from the blockbuster, Allu Arjun. The video is now doing the rounds on social media. The actor will head to Bangalore on Monday, which will be followed by a press meet in Chennai.

The film, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker, Madonne Ashwin, has Aditi Shankar playing the leading lady. Sivakarthikeyan plays a cartoonist, whose sketches on the character Maaveeran come to life in reality. The moment Maaveeran rises, Sivakarthikeyan undergoes a sea change in his personality. Mysskin plays the antagonist in the film, while Sarita plays Sivakarthikeyan's mother.

While Bharath Shankar has scored the music, Vidhu Ayyanna has handled the cinematography and Philomin is in charge of editing. The film has been cleared with U/A certificate and will be released in Telugu as Mahaveerudu. The digital rights have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video. Arun Viswa of Shanthi Talkies is bankrolling the project. Maaveeran will hit screens on July 14.
