On December 6, ZEE5 released a new series, Maeri, starring Sai Deodhar, Tanvi Mundle, and Sagar Deshmukh in the lead roles. In the show, Sai plays the protective mother, Tara Deshpande, and Tanvi plays the daughter Manasvi. This compelling web series delves into the profound depths of a mother's love, exhibiting a woman who would go to extraordinary lengths to protect her child. The makers have now unveiled a new poster from the film featuring the entire cast.
On December 9, ZEE5 shared a new poster of Maeri. As seen in the poster, while Tanvi's Manasvi is crying, her mother Tara (Sai) stands strong as she knows she will do justice to her daughter. For the uninitiated, Manasvi is suffering from trauma as she has been gang-raped by a group of powerful youths. Now, her mother is trying hard to emotionally support her daughter as well as do her justice.
Sharing the poster on their social media accounts, the makers captioned it: "Her daughter’s tears demand justice, and this mother will serve it cold."

Directed by Sachinn Darekkar, the web series received a positive response upon its release on ZEE5. Along with Sai Deodhar and Tanvi Mundle, the show also stars Sagar Deshmukh and Chinmay Mandlekar in pivotal roles.
Maeri promises to showcase a compelling story revolving around a relentless mother who is in pursuit of justice for her daughter. While she navigates to bring her daughter out of the trauma of sexual abuse, she deals with a complex world filled with cruelty and mental torture. Sai's character takes us through the cruelty that every woman faces in her lifetime, and how much they need to raise their voice against this barbarism.
