As Karthik Subbaraj's Mahaan is directly releasing on Amazon Prime Video on February 10, its makers are coming up with back-to-back updates from the film. After releasing the teaser and three songs from the gangster flick, they have now unveiled its much-awaited trailer.

The two-minute video offers more details on the characters essayed by Vikram and Dhruv in it. The former's father was instrumental in banning liquor in most parts of Tamil Nadu, but he ended up becoming the king of liquor empire in the state. The latter grows up as an aggressive youngster hating his father.

Vikram plays Gandhi Mahaan while Dhruv will be seen playing Dada. How the father-son duo sort our their differences after dealing with their common enemy forms the crux of the action-packed story. Simran and Simha play Sathyavan and Nachi respectively in the film.

Going by the trailer, Sathyavan is Mahaan's aide, while Naachi is his wife. Sananth, Muthukumar and Vani Bhojan are others who essay other prominent characters in the movie. Santhosh Narayanan has composed music for the film which has editing by Vivek Harshan and cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna.

Dinesh Subbarayan and Sherif have handled action sequences and dance movements respectively, while Kunal Rajan and Praveen Raja are in charge of sound designing and costume design. Mahaan marks the OTT debut of Vikram who was last seen in Kadaram Kondan (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) which released in 2019.

The movie marks director Karthik's second tryst with OTT release, as his previous outing, the Dhanush-starrer Jagame Thandhiram (streaming on Netflix), too, had opted the OTT way last year.
