After teasing that Prabhudeva and Kajol will be reuniting after three decades, the official announcement of their collaboration is finally out! Titled Maharagni, the action-packed film features the actors leading the ensemble cast, including Samyuktha, Naseeruddin Shah, Jisshu Sengupta, Aditya Seal, Chaya Kadam, and Pramod Pathak. According to the announcement video, the film promises to be an exhilarating cinematic adventure.

The teaser shows a riveting combination of dramatic intensity, honest emotions, and spectacular action scenes. With a festive backdrop, the violence is at its peak, and Kajol makes a red-hot entry in a pantsuit while packing a punch for her enemies. For the first time, we will see the actor performing kickass action with dialogue that is emotionally heavy.

Charantej Uppalapati writes and directs Maharagni, while Venkata Anish Dorigillu and Harman Baweja serve as producers. Writers Niranjan Iyenger and Jessica Khurrana crafted the screenplay.
Director's statement
In a statement, Uppalapati said that the process of turning Maharagni: Queen of Queens into a film has been thrilling. It has been an honour to work with industry heavyweights like Jisshu Sengupta, Samyuktha Menon, Kajol, Naseeruddin, and Prabhudeva in his Hindi debut. The filmmaker can't wait for audiences to go on this exciting rollercoaster, since every character brings something special to the film.
Kajol and Prabhudeva's upcoming projects
Meanwhile, Kajol, Prabhudeva, and Arvind Swamy co-starred in Rajiv Menon's 1997 Tamil film Minsara Kanavu, which was a huge hit. A later date saw the release of Sapnay, the Hindi dub.
Kajol, whose most recent appearance was in a segment of Lust Stories 2, is currently juggling multiple film projects. The upcoming films Do Patti, starring Kriti Sanon, and Sarzameen, starring Ibrahim Ali Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, will feature her in the lead roles. She is currently working on the horror film Maa.
The Greatest of All Time, starring Thalapathy Vijay, is in production and also stars Prabhudeva in a pivotal role. The makers have scheduled the film's theatrical debut for September of this year.
