Mahesh Babu on Major: I had a lump in my throat while watching the climax portions of the film

The Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam trailers of Major was released by Mahesh Babu, Salman Khan and Prithviraj respectively. At the trailer launch of the movie which was held at Hyderabad, Mahesh, who is also one of the producers of the project, expressed happiness for having associated with the movie and said that he's proud of the entire team.

Sashi Kiran Tikka has directed Major which has Adivi Sesh playing the titular role, which is based on the life of Sandeep Unnikrishnan who sacrificed his life during the Mumbai Attacks in 2008. Saiee Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murali Sharma also play key roles in the action flick.

Talking at the event, Mahesh said that he watched the movie the other day and that he thoroughly loved it. He said, "I had goosebumps while watching many sequences in the movie. While watching the last half-an-hour of the film, I had a big lump in my throat."

He added that he became quiet for a few minutes after the movie was complete as he was unable to talk. "I shook hands with Adivi and gave him a hug. Making a biopic is a big responsibility; all I can say is that I'm proud of the entire team. Major has an important story which needs to be told," Mahesh said.

The Sarkaru Vaari Paata star recollected that the entire team of Major has been thanking him for the last two years, and added that it's time for him to thank them for making a wonderful movie.

Mahesh said, "I really have to thank them for making such an amazing film. I have been a big admirer of Sesh's work; I had immense confidence when the team approached me. I'm glad when I saw the final output."
