Preity Mukhundhan is making her Malayalam debut with the upcoming film, Maine Pyar Kiya, which will hit the big screen on August 29. In an interview with OTTplay, the young actress, who gained popularity for her performances in a few popular music videos, stressed the value of remaining active on social media to increase one's possibilities.

'Staying relevant is important for actors'

She underlined that having an active social media presence is crucial in this digital age. It is the fact that people's attention spans have been shorter in recent years. As a result, in order to remain relevant, people in the spotlight are frequently bound to adhere to trends," she remarked. Preity continued by saying that this will increase their visibility and encourage producers and directors to approach them for projects. "For today's filmmakers, it primarily comes down to how bankable you are. I am not sure if I am a big admirer of this culture but it turns out that being up to date with all of things gives us more possibilities," she continued.

According to Preity, she is now receiving offers in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. "I want to do more films and develop my skills as a performer," she stated. The actress is starring in Sarvam Maya, Nivin Pauly's forthcoming horror comedy. "I am so excited for this project as the cast and crew of it is a dream team to work with," she said.

'Grateful for Maine Pyar Kiya'

According to Preity, her character in this romantic comedy drama is completely distinct from who she is in real life. "She is more timid, disturbed and grappling with her own issues," the young star said. Preity continued by saying that she and the other members of the cast had a great rapport and supported one another on the set in addition to exchanging honest feedback. "Everyone is aware that Malayalam cinema has its own glory. I accepted this offer right away because I was eager to make my debut in this industry," she said.
