Makers of Arivazhagan's Arun Vijay-starrer Tamil Rockerz unveil glimpse of the SonyLIV thriller series

We had reported last year that director Arivazhagan has been making a series titled Tamil Rockerz which is being bankrolled by AVM Productions. Though makers were tight-lipped about the project, a few details about the series were leaked on social media. Arun Vijay plays the lead in the thriller which revolves around an infamous piracy site which has been giving sleepless nights to the film industry.

Aruna Guhan, creative director of AVM Productions, took to Twitter to release a glimpse from the series which will be streaming on SonyLIV. An official announcement on its release date is expected soon.

The short video provides a sneak peek into the story of the series. A producer is worried about a popular, but infamous piracy site releasing his film on their website before its theatrical release. His movie stars "Global Star Ajay", who commands a huge fan following, in the lead.

How the veteran producer finds ways to stop the dangerous site from leaking his movie forms the rest of the story. Azhagam Perumal plays the producer in the series which has Tharun Kumar of Thaen (streaming on SonyLIV) essaying the antagonist's role.

Tamil Rockerz, which is inspired from a few real-life events, is expected to be a fast-paced thriller which has ample twists and turns. This is one of the much-awaited projects in Kollywood considering the fact that the website Tamil Rockers has been a huge threat to Tamil film industry once. 

Many movies used to get uploaded to the site soon after their theatrical releases. There have been instances where a few Tamil movies were live streamed in their sites, leaving the industry insiders shocked. An update on the series' teaser and trailer is likely to be out soon.
