Makers of Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi's Anbarivu officially announce its direct release on Disney+ Hotstar

There were wide spread rumours about Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi's Anbarivu skipping theatrical release and opting for a direct release on Disney+ Hotstar. However, the makers had denied it recently and said that they are yet to decide on the same. The movie has been produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under Sathya Jyothi Films.  

Now, the makers of the film, directed by Aswin Raam, have officially announced that the project is heading for a direct-to-OTT release. However, they are yet to reveal the release date, though. The social media handles of the production house, Hip Hop Tamizha and the OTT platform confirmed it through the tweets. 

Anbarivu, which has the actor playing dual roles for the first time, has him composing the music for it, too, like his previous outings. The film's first look was released on Tamil New Year, earlier this year. Touted to be a family entertainer set against the backdrop of Madurai, the project stars Nepoleon, Shivani Rajashekar, Urvashi, Sai Kumar and Marimuthu in key roles.

Vidaarth, Asha Sharath and Kashmira will also be seen essaying important characters in Anbarivu which has cinematography by Madhesh Manickam and editing by Pradeep E Ragav.

Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi's last outing, Sivakumarin Sabadham, also had an OTT premiere on Disney+ Hotstar, but after two months of its theatrical release. The film marked his directorial debut as well, apart from him composing songs and background score for it. 

Interestingly, Sathya Jyothi Films bankrolled Sivakumarin Sabadham as well. Their next project, the untitled movie being directed by ARK Saravan, also has Adhi playing the lead.
