Makers of Janhvi Kapoor's Good Luck Jerry release a new poster; introduce the film's principle cast

The team of Good Luck Jerry, starring Janhvi Kapoor in the lead, had announced earlier that the film will have a direct release on Disney+ Hotstar on July 29. The makers have now unveiled a new poster of the movie which has Janhvi who's seen sitting on a chair looking terrified, thanks to the presence of a few gun-wielding goons around her.

The young actress is clad in a blue churidar while the dreaded goons are seen wearing stylish jackets and sporting trendy goggles. Janhvi took to her Insagram page to release the poster with the caption, "Miliye mere business partners se! Bina puche dikha diye hain aap sabko, ab kuch gadbad na hojaaye! Good luck nahi kahenge? (sic)." 

Directed by Sidharth Sengupta, the film is the official remake of Tamil movie Kolamaavu Kokila which has Nayanthara playing the protagonist. The latter, which was directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, was released in theatres in 2018, and emerged as a runaway hit after its release.

Good Luck Jerry has been produced jointly by Subaskaran Allirajah, Aanand L Rai and Mahaveer Jain under the banners of Lyca Productions, Colour Yellow Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films respectively.

Deepak Dobriyal, Meeta Vashishth, Neeraj Sood and Sushant Singh play significant characters in the project which has cinematography by Rangarajan Ramabadran. The film's shooting commenced earlier last year and was wrapped up in a few months' time.

Good Luck Jerry will be Janhvi's first release this year; her last outing was the horror-comedy flick Roohi which hit the screens in 2021. This is also her second movie to have a direct-to-OTT release after Gunjan Saxena. Her forthcoming project, Mili, too, is a remake. The Bollywood film is the official Hindi version of Mollywood movie Helen which was released in 2019.
