Mohanlal and Lijo Jose Pellissery, the Malayalam superstar and celebrated filmmaker, are now busy promoting their ambitious project, Malaikottai Vaaliban. The highly anticipated movie, which is touted to be a period fantasy drama, is gearing up to hit the big screens on January 24, 2025, Thursday. As reported earlier, Malaikottai Vaaliban bagged a U/A certificate from the censor board of India, recently. Now, the Mohanlal-starrer has successfully completed its UAE cen sor formalities.

Malaikottai Vaaliban bags PG13 rating from UAE censor board

As per the recent updates, the magnum opus, which features the Malayalam superstar in the titular role, has bagged a PG13 rating from the UAE censor board. For the uninitiated, the PG13 rating suggests that Malaikottai Vaaliban can be watched only by those who are above the age of 13. However, kids below the age of 18 are strictly advised to have parental guidance.

From the censor board ratings from both India and UAE, it is safe to assume that the Lijo Jose Pellissery directorial is going to be rich in its action choreography. As leading man Mohanlal confirmed in some of his recent promotional interviews, action choreographer Vikram Moor has designed some never-seen-before stunt sequences for the film. However, the UAE advance bookings for the film have finally kickstarted, after it finished the censor formalities.

Mohanlal’s role in Malaikottai Vaaliban

According to the reports, the complete actor of Malayalam cinema is playing an uncontested warrior, who is famous across the timelines and geographies for his immense strength and wit, in the Lijo Jose Pellissery directorial. Vaaliban is always accompanied by his aids, Chinnappaiyyan and Ayyanar. During his journey, the protagonist meets a beautiful dancer named Rangapattinam Rangarani, and an evil force named Chamathakan, who change his life upside down.

Sonalee Kulkarni, the famous Marathi actress appears in the role of Rangarani in the movie. Danish Sait, Andrea Ravera, Hareesh Peradi, Manikandan R Achari, Katha Nandi, Rajeev Pillai and others appear in the key roles. Madhu Neelakandan is the cinematographer of the project. Prashant Pillai composes songs and the original score. Malaikottai Vaaliban is slated to hit the theatres in three languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi.
