Malaikottai Vaaliban, the epic drama that stars Mohanlal in the lead role, is now making headlines with its official teaser. The first teaser of the project, which was released on social media on November 6, Wednesday, has been receiving mixed reviews from netizens. While the Mohanlal fans are heaping praise on the teaser, the cine-goers feel it was underwhelming.

Meanwhile, the latest updates suggest that director Lijo Jose Pellissery and his team have no plans to reveal much about the Mohanlal starrer. The team is planning to take up a different promotional strategy for Malaikottai Vaaliban.

The official teaser introduces Mohanlal’s character, who is a wrestler dressed in a Sikh-style outfit. He speaks in a mix of Malayalam and Tamil and says, “What the eyes have seen is truth. What they haven’t are lies. Everything you have seen yet is lies. That which is going to unfold now is the truth.”

However, a large group of netizens, who expected an electrifying character introduction from Mohanlal, are disappointed with what the makers have chosen to reveal in the teaser. They are also pointing out that the teaser is just a teaser version of the release date announcement poster for Malaikottai Vaaliban, which was released a few weeks ago.

However, the Malaikottai Vaaliban teaser has now broken all the pre-existing records of the Malayalam film industry and has emerged as the most-viewed teaser ever. The teaser recently crossed 8.2 million views on YouTube in just 24 hours, thus dethroning Dulquer Salmaan’s King Of Kotha teaser, which previously held the record.

Malaikottai Vaaliban to have a unique promotional campaign?

As per the latest updates, Malaikottai Vaaliban is expected to have a unique offline promotional campaign before its massive release. The makers of the Mohanlal starrer are planning to keep both the superstar’s character and the film’s theme under wraps until its massive theatrical release on January 25, 2024.

However, the team members, including leading man Mohanlal, will attend the promotional activities that are reportedly being held in all major Indian cities. The team is also planning to do some unique promotional activities, which are entirely new to the Malayalam film industry and will be revealed in a few weeks.
