Mammootty-Jyothika's Kaathal - The Core set to release on this date

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the release of the upcoming Malayalam movie Kaathal - The Core. Starring Malayalam superstar Mammootty and Jyothika in the lead roles, the film is expected to become a cinematic gem.  

The movie's shooting was completed in November last year. Yet, the filmmakers don't seem to be in a hurry to give it a big theatrical release, despite a significant interest in the movie. 

It seems the filmmakers have bigger plans for Kaathal - The Core. Directed by Jeo Baby, the film is set to have its world premiere at the upcoming 54th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The movie will be screened in the Indian Panorama section at the festival, which will take place from November 20 to November 28.

Soon after its debut at the IFFI, Kaathal - The Core is expected to arrive in cinemas. 

According to industry sources, Kaathal - The Core is set to open in worldwide cinemas on November 24. However, an official confirmation on the same is awaited. 

Earlier, speculations were also rife about Kaathal - The Core going straight to the OTT . It was believed that JioCinema bought the streaming rights of the Mammootty starrer and it was planning to directly premiere on its platform. However, as things stand now, the film is very likely to have a theatrical release before making its debut on streaming.

At the moment, we know very little about the plot and characters of Kaathal - The Core. The maiden onscreen collaboration between Mammootty and Jyothika is the singular element of the film that has caught the imagination of the movie buffs. 

In addition to playing the lead role, Mammootty has also bankrolled Kaathal - The Core under his home production banner Mammootty Kampany.
