Kerala Crime Files Season 2 director Ahammed Khabeer says that the biggest happiness they felt was after seeing Mammootty’s message, and it was nothing short of getting an Oscar.

The Malayalam web series Kerala Crime Files returned with yet another gripping police investigation in the second season. The series, helmed by Ahammed Khabeer, has been winning much love from audiences and industry colleagues too. Now, the young director has revealed that the team has received a congratulatory message from none other than Mammootty, the Malayalam megastar. Ahammed Khabeer said that the biggest happiness they got was after seeing Mammootty’s message and it was nothing short of getting an Oscar.
Kerala Crime Files Season 2 premiered on JioHotstar in June, to much positive reception. Amid a slew of congratulatory messages, KCF director said that he got the biggest appreciation when Malayalam’s legendary actor Mammootty reached out to the team. The investigative series features Arjun Radhakrishnan, Harisree Asokan, Indrans and Sirajudheen Nazar, among others. Talking to the YouTube channel Fanbella, Ahammed Khabeer, “"Our biggest happiness was when Mammookka sent a message after seeing the series. He sent messages to me, Arjun, Harisree Ashokan, and others, saying ‘Good work’. It made us feel like we won an Oscar.”

Meanwhile, Mammootty has not been seen in public for the past few months but the Malayalam megastar is well in tune with the happenings of the industry.
Kerala Crime Files S2 features Arjun Radhakrishnan as SI Noble, who joins the Kaniyarvila police station in Kerala's capital. He and his team soon set out to find CPO Ambili Raju who goes missing mysteriously.
As the cops piece together the evidence, they discover the secret dealings of Ambili Raju and more sinister crimes. Indrans is stellar as Ambili Raju, while Harisree Ashokan is seen as his aide Ayyappan, another key role. Aju Varghese and Lal, who led the first season of KCF, is also part of the second season.
Bahul Ramesh, best known for penning the plot of Kishkindha Kaandam, has also written the script for the Kerala Crime Files Season 2.
