It's a great time to be a Mammootty fan indeed. As promised, the makers of the star’s next project, helmed by Nisam Basheer, have unveiled the film’s title and first look poster. The upcoming film is titled Rorschach.

The poster was shared by Mammootty on his official social media handles. The intriguing poster shows a sitting masked figure, clothed in all black except for his mask. The mask has traces of blood on one side, and in the background faint patterns of inkblots can be detected.

Check out the poster below:

The upcoming film’s title seems to make a reference to the Rorschach test, a psychological test that makes use of inkblot patterns. In addition to Mammootty, the upcoming film also features Sharafudheen, Grace Antony, Bindu Panicker and Kottayam Nazeer in crucial roles. The film marks Basheer’s second directorial, after his 2019 film, which was the Asif Ali starrer Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha.

The upcoming film also marks the second production venture of the megastar’s Mammootty Kampany banner. The film, which went on floors in March, is scripted by Samir Abdul and Iblis. Rorschach is expected to be a theatrical release.

Meanwhile, Mammootty’s recent release, CBI 5: The Brain, saw him back as the iconic Sethurama Iyer after a period of more than 15 years. The film, directed by K Madhu and scripted by S N Swamy, was released in theatres on Sunday. After its theatrical run, the film, which also sees Mukesh and Jagathy Sreekumar reprising their characters from the CBI film series, will be available for streaming on Netflix.

Mammootty is also gearing up for his film Puzhu, which marks his first direct-to-OTT release. The film, directed by Ratheena PT and also starring Parvathy Thiruvothu, will be available to stream on SonyLIV from May 13, 2022.
