This Tamil comedy caper, starring actor Jiiva, was also a festive release for Pongal. Helmed by Malayalam filmmaker Nithish Sahadev, Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil revolves around a panchayat leader who is entrusted with the smooth conduct of a wedding. But his plans suffer an inadvertent setback when a death happens in the neighbourhood. The film is narrated with a good dose of heartwarming comedy, making the Jiiva film a pleasant watch. The Tamil film will also be available to stream in Malayalam and Telugu.

This Kannada film revolves around the titular character the college student Surya, who is an orphan. He does odd tasks to make a living and help his girlfriend. The trouble begins when he gets entangled with criminals and lands in a bigger trouble. Prashanth Surya plays the lead role, while Harshitha MK is seen as Bhumika in this Kannada film which is high on action and romance.

The Malayalam film Baby Girl follows the events after an infant is abducted from a city hospital. The police investigate the negligence of the hospital staff, even as we see there is more to the tale. Baby Girl had opened to mixed reviews, but could find appreciation online.
