Footage promises a cinematic revelation

According to reports, Footage seems to enjoy the distinction of being Malayalam cinema's first 'found footage' movie. The visual style and narrative techniques will utilize the footage shot by the characters to tell a story and address a pressing challenge facing the always-connected consumer society.

The first look poster of Footage features actors Vishak Nair and Gayatri Ashok in an intimate position in the privacy of a bedroom. However, the film seems to raise an important question: in this day and age, does privacy hold any meaning? "Behind every door is a world beyond your wildest imagination," read the caption posted by Manju while sharing the poster.

Footage will mark the directorial debut of film editor Saiju Sreedharan, known for editing highly acclaimed Malayalam movies such as Kumbalangi Nights, Maheshinte Prathikaaram, and Mayaanadhi. He has co-written the movie with Shabna Mohammad.

Footage is set to hit cinemas worldwide in May this year.
